The latest from Stefan Feld and alea, Bora Bora is set on a South Seas archipelago. Players expand their tribes across the islands, playing wooden 'huts' in each area. They have just six turns to maximise their score across the different tasks that score points. At the end there are final bonuses available for completing all of a task (no mean feat – you can't miss a turn).
Players' actions are constrained by the dice they roll each turn. The higher the value, the more use you can make of an action, but you can only place a die on an action where it's lower than those already there. A clever mechanism and just the start of what goes on in this game. I'm looking forward to playing it a lot more.
For 2-4 players, aged 12+, playing time 25 minutes/player: £40.00 (£33.33 tax free outside the EU)
