Gads Hill 1874
A small community in Missouri, Gads Hill was named after Charles Dickens's country home (Gad's Hill Place in Kent). Its claim to fame is being where the James-Younger gang boarded and robbed a train – their first train robbery in Missouri – on 31st January 1874.
According to the game, Gads Hill is now a ghost town with just an outline plan of how the streets were laid out – the game's board. The players are archæologists trying to re-construct the town, identifying the robbery's landmarks amongst the town's known 22 buildings.
Gads Hill 1874 is a game of deduction: players use their 'clue' cards to establish possible locations for each building. As more clues are played, the possibilities narrow down until a definite location is established and the building tile placed on the board. There are lots of potential solutions to the town's layout, so there's plenty of replay value in the game.
For 2-4 players, aged 10+, playing time 60 minutes: £16.00(£13.33 without tax outside the UK)
