Lost Cities

A classic card game from Reiner Knizia—possibly my favourite two-player game. Each turn players play a card to advance an ‘expedition’. This increases their score in that expedition, but takes the risk that they'll get the minimum points needed. Otherwise, the expedition will score minus points when the cards run out.

This is a finely balanced game that requires planning and good decision-making—and a splash of luck! I give it 9/10 on my highly subjective scale.
