Key Flow
This has been characterised as Keyflower the card game and it certainly re-uses the theme and ideas of Keyflower. However, it is its own game and a lot of development has been done on those ideas.
The centre of this game is the river Key Flow, along which ships bring all sorts of resources for the lands of Keydom. Players use these to develop villages, businesses and farms along the riverbank through the four seasons of the game. The result is a hefty game that belies the 'card game' tag.
I've played it a couple of times now and it is a rather different challenge from Keyflower – card drafting replaces the auction mechanism for a start. You then have to make best use of the three types of card, first building up resources and then scoring points.
For 2-6 players, aged 14+, playing time 45-75 minutes: £35.00 special offer £27.00 (£22.50 without tax outside the UK)
