North American Railways

This clever card game has the players investing in five companies that are building railways across America. However, there's no geography to worry about, just city cards to buy with a company's money – if you're the Director. City cards bring dividends at the end of each round and a bonus at the end.

First: buy a share. However, as well as thinking about which company they want to invest in and how much they want to pay, players must also consider what other card will be made available after their purchase. Company Directors have the same consideration when deciding which city card to buy. Hence the dynamic is very different each time you play.
