Points Arising for November 1677
Players' deadline for December 1677 is 4th September 2026
Note that I’ve brought the deadline forward a week so I can get LPBS turned around and TWJO published before I’m off to Northern Ireland. Fingers crossed.
The following deadline will remain the same, though.
Next month is the start of a new season. All characters start the month in Paris and all duels must be fought. Any vacant appointments not taken by player characters will be filled by NPCs. A player character with an appointment that lets him appoint another post chooses who gets this – which may be a player character, an NPC or left vacant. So, if you hold or have applied for an appointment – or a rank – that allows you to make other appointments, don’t forget to do so (or NPCs get the jobs).
Next month is December and mistresses’ influence will be renewed at the end of the month. A good reason to court a new mistress next month and gain twice as much influence.
Bill Hay asked me for a csv file of the Greasy Pole, which is easy for me to provide as I use one for the actual report (mailmerge in Word). Would anyone else like to get this?
Absent friends
Grégory Meurant still isn’t able to resume the game so, with his agreement, I’ve removed IP and will set him up a new character when he returns.
No orders from Max Pieksma (MdP) – 2 turns missed, so would have been sent to a Frontier regiment, but his regiment was in action anyway.
ZUT Bob Blanchett continues to be floated due to ill-health, but I’m getting no response to my emails.
Notes
It is worth sending orders in even if they're a day or two late: it's possible I can still action the orders and will probably be able to use any press. It also reassures me that you're still out there.
Orders (and press) should be emailed to the LPBS orders e-mail address and I'll acknowledge. Please give your name and your character's name and specify actions in full detail. If you want a query answered before the deadline, please use the main LPBS email address.
