Castles of Burgundy

This highly rated classic has been re-issued to mark the publisher's 20th anniversary. In addition to the original dice-powered drafting and tile-laying game, the box also contains the expansions that have appeared since the game was first published back in 2011.

The idea is that you are developing your territory (a convenient hexagonal grid) in the ways appropriate to each type of terrain. Apart from scoring points, each tile you place gives some sort of additional benefit and key to the game is making the best use of those benefits.

It is, quite possibly, Stefan Feld's masterpiece and a perennial favourite. Note that the latest printing is not shrink-wrapped, so there may be scuffs on the box.
