DerrocAr
I was expecting a serious game of political machinations, but it turned out to be a whirlwind of trying to be the person who's President when the 'music' stops. With a lot of political machinations.
The game is inspired by the 2001 political crisis in Argentina when there were five presidents in one week (makes Liz Truss's tenure as British Prime Minister look like an epic!). Players are looking to boost (buy!) their support – potentially taking over as President – raise funds, smear their opponents and, maybe, pay off the country's debts.
Clearing one set of debts is one of the ways the game can end and whoever is El Presidente wins immediately. I found it huge fun – so much so that I had to play it again immediately. (Derrocar, by the way, is a Spanish verb meaning to depose or
overthrow. The capitalised A is because this is happening in Argentina – AR in international country codes.)
For 1-5 players, aged 14+, playing time 30-75 minutes: £35.00 (£29.17 tax free outside the UK)
