Finca

I have fond memories of playing the original edition of Finca (how can you forget the donkeys and the windmill?), so I was pleased to see franjos bring out a new edition. The setting is the island of Mallorca/Majorca where the players are fruit farmers trying to fulfill their customers' demands. (A finca is a farm or plantation.)

The 'windmill' is a roundel on which players move their farmer meeples (Mancala-style) to harvest fruit. This also gives them the donkey carts with which to deliver their fruit. By completing what's shown on one of the tiles around the island, players take the tile, which is worth points at the end.

It sounds simple enough, but that's before the other players get involved. On top of this, some clever tactical options can really mess up everybody's plans. This version of the game incorporates the tactical opportunities provided by the El Razul expansion to the original.
