Habitats

Third edition of one of Corné's ever so clever games that require serious thought. Here players are adding animal tiles to their wildlife park. Each comes on a specific terrain and needs other tiles nearby to be worth points at the end. Thus, each tile you place provides something you're looking for but also gives fresh requirements.

On top of this, players can add viewing towers and access roads to boost their score. There are bonus scoring opportunities at the end of each season that give players intermediate goals as well as the final scoring after all three seasons. The whole thing is a terrific challenge.

To make things even tougher, you can add some larger animals in the XL expansion (below).

Habitats XL

It may call itself Extra Large, but this is actually quite a small expansion: just a few new animals. A few XL animals, that is. These creatures need more space, more habitats to thrive, making them more difficult to score. Fiendish.

Plus camp sites for adventurous visitors to spend the night in your park. (I'm after a " visitors get eaten" option now...)

Note that this is a flat board, so I can send it on its own as a " Large Letter" and refund the saving in postage.

Habitats Double expansion

There are two sets of large tiles in this pack. The double-sized landscape tiles show two types of landscape, providing new opportunities and constraints.

And the Yearly Goals tiles provide extra ways of scoring.
