Quartermaster General (2nd ed)
This is a nice new edition of the first of Ian Brody's clever, card-driven, logistics-based wargames. This one covers the Second World War. It's played in teams (Axis and Allies) of different 'nations,' each player controlling 1, 2 or 3 nations – allowing an odd number of players.
The decks of cards are at the heart of the game: each nation having its own. Cards are played for an immediate actions, for a continuing effect or as a reserve to be triggered later. Models representing armies and fleets show who controls what, but having a supply route is crucial to these. Playing in teams adds another dimension as players need to work together for their side to win.
The second edition "completely revamps the award-winning title" with rule changes, tweaked cards and adjustments to the board.
For 2-6 players (in teams), aged 12+, playing time 60-120 minutes: £45.00 (£37.50 without tax outside the UK)
