The March of Progress

This card game charts progress through warfare across the ages. Each scenario is set in a different era, using the same core set of cards – with era-specific additions – for players' actions. The introduction is the Thirty Years War with others taking players through the Napoleonic Wars and both World Wars.

Key to winning battles seems to be manoeuvring to outnumber your opponent as combat is simple (and a draw is bad for both sides). Having backed it on Kickstarter, I have a few copies available – but the first one is mine!
