Vantage

What a brilliant idea: a co-operative game where each player has their own view of the game world and their own challenges to deal with, but where players can still help each other. I was hooked as soon as I heard about it.

The game starts with the players escaping their crashing spacecraft in individual pods and landing scattered about a strange planet. All they have is whatever they were able to grab before ejecting – and communications with the rest of the team. Each thus has their own part of the planet to explore and hazards to overcome, but a collective mission to complete.

Designer Jamey Stegmaier describes it as an "open world" game, so players are free to roam as they wish and have an awful lot to explore. If you like Tales of the Arabian Nights or Sleeping Gods (I do!), then this is something you have to try!
