Fire!

A solitaire game from Friedemann Friese – just what I needed during lockdown. And the retro Space Invaders look is fun, too.

It's very simple: you plug batteries into your guns until they have enough charge to fire and bring down one of the attacking alien spaceships. Of course, if you can't get the right batteries, your guns can't fire or don't have enough power. Eek! Here come the aliens!

Since you're drawing the battery cards at random and lose one each turn, you need a bit of luck as well as good planning to win. And that's only Level 1! There are eight more to go...

For 1 player (or team of two), aged 10+, playing time 25 minutes: £16.00 (£13.33 tax free outside the UK)
