Lignum 2.0
As the name suggests, this game is all about wood (" Lignum" in Latin). Players are 19th century lumberjacks and merchants, felling trees and transporting, processing and selling the wood. Each round players must out-guess their opponents as they bid for timber plots. If more than one bids for the same plot, they have to share and may get less than they were planning on.
In fact, players have to manage the whole logistics of their enterprise: equipment, workers and transport. After just eight rounds, the winner is the player who's made the most money. It's a challenging game and I've had great fun (with the first edition).
This second edition has been tweaked with a couple of extra locations and the artwork completely revised from Mücke Spiele's original.
For 2-4 players, aged 12+, playing time 1-2 hours: £45.00 (£37.50 ex-VAT outside the UK)
