Peak Oil

I enjoy this game as there are several clever aspects to it. The premise is that players are modern day oil companies who know that the oil will run out – it's just a question of when – and are thus investing in alternative energy sources. But still producing oil to finance their operations. Oh, and watch out for journalists digging dirt (there's always some!).

Players move their 'Agents' about the board to take the actions available at various locations. But only if they have the most Agents there. Actions allow players to drill for oil, sell oil, deal with PR crises and invest in new businesses. And then those Agents return to Head Office to be re-assigned one or two per turn.

It's a clever game that plays in a decent length of time.
